2. Information We Collect

Information you provide:

• Account registration: display name, email address, password, zip code, bio, and business description
• Prediction submissions: numeric forecast values, confidence levels, behavioral responses, and revision history
• Campaign creation: organization name, campaign parameters, and payment information (processed by Stripe — we do not store card details)
• Communications: messages sent to support@macroseer.com

Information collected automatically:

• Usage data: pages visited, features used, time spent on platform
• Device information: browser type, operating system, IP address
• Cookies and similar technologies for session management and platform functionality

3. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

• Operate and improve the MacroSeer platform
• Score predictions and maintain accuracy records
• Calculate expert tier classifications and leaderboard rankings
• Generate aggregated intelligence signals and consensus data from prediction activity
• Send transactional emails (confirmation, results, follow-up questions, prize notifications)
• Send platform updates and digest emails (opt-out available in account settings)
• Process prize disbursements to winners
• Comply with legal obligations including tax reporting requirements

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information.

We share information only in these circumstances:

• Campaign sponsors: Aggregated, anonymized prediction data and consensus signals are shared with the sponsor of each campaign. Individual prediction values may be included in campaign resolution reports. We do not share your email address or personal contact information with sponsors without your consent.
• Service providers: We use Supabase (database), Vercel (hosting), Stripe (payments), and Resend (email) to operate the platform. These providers process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
• Public leaderboard: Your display name, expert tier, and accuracy statistics are visible on the public leaderboard unless you opt out in account settings.
• Verification pages: If you share a prediction credential, your display name, prediction value, resolution value, and score are visible at the public verification URL.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of MacroSeer or others.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Prediction records are retained indefinitely as they form part of your longitudinal accuracy record. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting support@macroseer.com.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your account and data
• Opt out of non-transactional email communications
• Request a copy of your data in a portable format

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies for session management and platform authentication. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You can control cookie settings through your browser, but disabling essential cookies will prevent you from using the platform.

8. Children’s Privacy

MacroSeer is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact support@macroseer.com and we will delete the account.

9. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), secure authentication via Supabase Auth, and role-based access controls. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but are committed to protecting your information.

10. SMS Communications

MacroSeer sends SMS messages only on behalf of campaign creators to their opted-in members. We never add individuals to SMS lists without campaign creator authorization.

How members opt in: Members opt in to receive SMS by responding to a campaign creator’s invitation or by submitting a prediction via the campaign page. Campaign creators are responsible for collecting SMS consent from their members through their own channels before distributing campaign links via SMS.

How to opt out: Members can opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP to any message. Opt-out requests are processed immediately and logged. Once opted out, no further SMS messages will be sent for that campaign.

Message frequency: Message frequency varies by campaign. Typically 1-3 messages per campaign: an initial invitation, a follow-up question, and a results notification. Standard message and data rates may apply.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email and by updating the Last Updated date above. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
